Our Structure

  • Inclusion Alliance is a not-for-profit organisation, limited by guarantee, with charitable status.
  • The organisation is funded by the City of Edinburgh Council, Department of Health and Social Care.
  • The Board of Management consists of people with learning difficulties, parents of people with learning difficulties and interested and committed professionals.
  • The Board of Management is 51% user led by people with learning difficulties and/or parents of people with learning difficulties.
  • The organisation has an efficient and effective head office team of manager, assistant manager and part-time finance officer. The manager and assistant manager are responsible for employing support workers and managing individual budgets in partnership with service users and their families.
  • The organisation was set up to be able to respond to legislation enabling people to access Direct Payments.
